You should always take measures to protect your personally identifiable information on the Internet. There are far too many scumbags out there that are waiting to prey on unwitting victims. I like to think that I'm one of the good guys. Not only do I not pretend to be an online banking site, I don't even ask for credit card or social security numbers to use this site!
That said, privacy online is never guaranteed. This isn't easy to say, but your computer is a whore. To add insult to injury the analytics solution deployed on this website is, to follow through on the metaphor, operated by one of the biggest John's on the Internet. I'm all for privacy online, but by accessing this unsecure website on the Internet; you have made a decision to forfeit some precious information about you. I'm not talking about your shoe size or your habit of social calls on transvestite street walkers. No, I'm talking about your IP address and some general information about your computer.
As you know, once I have your IP address I can sell it to hackers. They will be able to immediately access to your hard drive and all of your personal documents. They will plant Trojans, viruses and other nasty things to surreptitiously steal additional information. If there is only one thing I've learned from watching movies is that the previous statements are undisputable FACT...but I digress.
To summarize this privacy statement for BadGopher.com: I do not do anything with the personally identifiable information I do not collect from you. The stuff your computer says about you is kept under lock and key (but really, everyone knows). Should you have any questions or concerns, please email OHMYGODSTALKERLEAVEMEALONE at BADGOPHER.COM.
