You know when you write test scripts with comments referring to the specific requirement number in the baselined BRD, and then a year and a half later someone asks you what a particular test script is supposed to do, so you pull the BRD only to find out that all of those handy requirement numbers now say “see BR-8” where BR-8 is a massive matrix with no hint to what former individual requirements it used to be, so you find yourself digging through version control looking at each previous version because, hey, fuck check-in comments, just to find a BR-8-less copy of the document so you can give a 10 second explanation of what the test script is doing?

Yeah, I hate that.
